Stuffing Recipes
Basic Stuffing Recipe
12 cups bread
1 tbsp sage
1 tbsp thyme
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cloves
1 cup chicken stock
2 eggs
Optional Add-ins
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups chopped onions
1 pint raw oysters
1 pound hamburger
1 pound pork sausage
2 cups chopped chestnuts
2 cups peeled sliced pototos
Leave bread out for one day or heat in oven until the bread is hard. Break into bite size pieces.
Add all ingredients from the basic stuffing list. Mix well. Add your favorite ingredients from the optional add-ins list. Mix and stuff the bird. Add any remaining stuffing around the bottom of roaster.
